My political views have changed drastically over time. Years ago I would have declared for one of the two political parties (that are put forth as the only ones available). Over the years I have witnessed the huge divisions in our country, as well as my family, this has caused. There’s so much negativity around politics. Rarely can topics be discussed, without anger rearing it’s head. So, I tend to stay quite and observe. I know that anger and division weakens us. So, I don’t watch the political jargon that the media pumps out, and I’m more geared towards looking into local politics, those topics that have a more direct effect on my family, and I. I don’t align myself with a political party. I do vote, and believe it’s important to let your voice be heard. Change happens one person at a time, each choosing to map a course built on unity and working together. That’s the party I choose to be part of😊.
