Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?

My family, and I, do make special holiday treats. My moma makes her version of ‘fruitcake’, that’s a delicious blend of candied fruit, nuts, gram crackers , and eagle brand milk. It freezes beautifully and we all look forward to it. My step-father’s specialty are Chipotle Pepper Sweet Potatoes, and Wassail. I do a lot of baking during the holidays, of course, but I love to try traditional, old-world, recipes. This year it will be Swiss Gingerbread and German Stollen (a sweet bread stuffed with candied citrus peel, almonds, and dried fruit).
