What’s your all-time favorite album?

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Although I have so many well loved albums, the one that opened new horizons for me was definitely the one above. It was the 1978 musical/comedy movie that paved the way. With an all star cast, including the Bee Gee’s, Peter Frampton, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Steve Martin, and many more, it was a below par movie, with quite a few laughs. It was the music that I loved, opening up the wonders of ‘rock’ music. Growing up around a west Texas family, where country music rules, and 70s soft, mellow, music was in style, hearing rock music, or disco, was rare. So, seeing it put to a story form, no matter how corny it seems now, in a musical, which at times made my heart fly, and at others scared the hell out of me ( seeing Alice Cooper for the first time, and Aerosmith, for some reason😂), well I had to have the double album. My parents came through on my B-Day. I have many happy memories around this album; dancing and singing, with my sisters, or just listening to the music, through the headphones. Every time I hear ‘The Long &Winding Road’, or ‘Come Together’, I’m flooded with the these memories. The wonderful times of carefree youth and discovery.😊
