I’ve had many baking, and cooking, fails throughout the years. When you spend a huge amount of time in the kitchen, eventually it happens.

One big fail, and most recent, was a cookie dough fiasco. I had a lot of activity going on around me, meaning a full house, and was distracted while putting together my stand mixer. I attached a bread hook, instead of the mixer head, that was needed, and my dough never fluffed up. I ended up tossing the whole mix and starting over. Not epic, like a holiday dinner failure, but more work for me. Of course failure teaches lessons, which in this case was ‘pay attention, and focus on the task at hand’.
